5 Spooky Halloween Cocktails
Halloween is just around the corner. It's time to make some of our favorite spooky cocktails - no dry ice needed, save that for the fog machine! Check out 5 Halloween cocktail recipes to add the boo-ze to your holiday event. If the costumes weren’t great, at least the drinks were good! We recommend Marceline’s Dream with a non-alcoholic spirit like Amass for a mocktail option when called for.
Pale Rider

In a shaker, add:
2 1/2 oz manzanilla sherry
1 oz jalapeno tequila
1/4 oz fresh lime
1/2 oz cane syrup (2:1)
Shake with ice and strain into a wine tumbler filled with ice. Top with 1 oz soda water. Garnish with 2x cucumber slices and serve with a straw.

From The Curious Bartender: The Artistry And Alchemy Of Creating The Perfect Cocktail by Tristan Stephenson
Place 1/2 a red chili (washed & deseeded) in a clean glass bottle with 1x clove.
Crush 1z caffeine tablet and a pinch of salt in mixing glass, then add:
1 oz cognac
1 oz Somerset 12 yr old Cider Brandy
1 oz Antica Formula Vermouth
1 tsp simple (2:1)
3 1/2 oz water
Stir until all is dissolved. Strain into the same bottle. Shake and seal.
Serve chilled in rocks or fizz glass. Serve with a whole apple (for vitamin C).
Gardening At Night

Add 4 oz of sparkling wine to a coupe or flute. In mixing glass, add:
3/4 oz Zubrowka bison grass vodka
3/4 oz raspberry shrub*
Add ice and stir briefly to chill and mix. Slowly strain into the glass (with sparkling wine). Garnish with a twist of lemon
*Raspberry Shrub: Mix 2 parts raspberry syrup with 1 part apple cider vinegar. Stir to combine and store in the refrigerator for up to 6 months
Raspberry syrup: Add 8 oz of water and 1 cup of sugar to a saucepan. Stir together over medium heat for about 3 minutes.
Add 1 1/2 cups of fresh raspberries and simmer on low heat for 3 to 5 minutes, breaking up the fruit. Do not boil. Remove from heat and steep for 15 minutes. Strain through a fine mesh strainer. Cool to room temperature, then funnel into a clean glass bottle.
Marceline’s Dream

Prep your wine glass by running a lime wedge down the side. Dip into lava salt.
In a cocktail shaker, add:
1/2 oz simple syrup (1:1)
1/2 oz lime juice
1 oz hibiscus tea
1 1/2 oz of tequila
Shake well with ice and strain into glass.
Headless Horsemen

In a blender, add the following ingredients:
1 cup of ice
2 oz of cachaca
1 1/2 oz canned pumpkin pie puree
3/4 oz coconut cream
1/2 oz St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram
1/2 oz lime juice
1/2 oz orange juice
Blend. Pour into a Halloween-themed cup/mug. Garnish with a lime shell with a sugar cube that has been covered in 151-proof rum and a drop of red food coloring. Fire optional: Light the cube on fire (with caution) and sprinkle with cinnamon.
