HOW TO MAKE A CAIPIRINHA

team building mixology

If you are looking for a cocktail to beat the heat, take a page from Brazil’s national cocktail, the caipirinha. This refreshing and simple cocktail is an absolute delight and easy to make! All you need is lime, ice, sugar, and the Brazilian sugarcane spirit, Cachaça. Make sure you cut the quartered lime correctly: Cut the ends off of a lime, cut in half lengthwise, and remove the white pith in the middle. Slice into 4 -6 smaller pieces, which will be easier to muddle.

Here’s how to make it:

In your rocks glass, add half of a lime, quartered into pieces (see above)

Add 2 tsp (2 barspoons) of sugar. Muddle everything together enough to release the lime juice.

Add 2 oz of cachaça. Add cracked ice and stir.

No garnish necessary, but if you’d like to, add a lime or some fresh mint.
